What is TSA PreCheck®?
TSA PreCheck® is a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Trusted Traveler program that provides faster screening processes for US flights.
- Enter through the TSA PreCheck® lane and skip the lines.
- Keep your shoes, belts, and light jackets on.
- No need to unpack liquids or laptops.
- Have a child under 12? They can join you in the special TSA PreCheck® lane.
The application fee for TSA PreCheck® is $85 for 5 years and is available at 200 airports and 85+ airlines. The Renewal fee is $70.

If you opt for the online application, you’ll also need to make an appointment.
Once approved, you’ll receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN). By using the KTN when booking flights, you can now enjoy all the TSA PreCheck® perks.

Global Entry is also a DHS Trusted Traveler Program and provides faster screening processes for international travelers entering the US.
